No money, money order

My finance “traded” in a large amount of cash for a money order. When he got the money order he was never told that the manager had to be present for the money order to be cashed. He went in the next day and could not cash the order since the manager was not present. The next day he went back and all the money was on hold due to his old employer putting a stop to his last cheque for over paying him. Money Mart kindly filed a complaint with small claims court and a cheque was to be sent the next day and the money would be ready in the morning. The morning that it was to be there and the money released we were informed that the cheque was on the courier truck but they were not sure when it would arrive. That night we received a call that the cheque had arrived and we could pick the money up the next morning. We went in and were informed that the manager had to be present to sign for the money since it was owed to us. The following morning we went and were informed that the manager had the day off for his daughters grad. We were then told that he would be in on Wednesday (today). My fiance went this morning and was told that he was working a split shift and would not be back till 8. After a week of being told we could get the money the next day my Fiance got the number of the manager to speak to him himself. He was given the name Mike and the number. When speaking to Mike he said he might be back at the store between 8 and 9 tonight as he had to meet with someone at 8 that was also waiting for money. Mike then told him we could wait at the store for the hour and if he didnt make it he would meet us tomorrow morning at 8 for sure.

We are not pleased with the service we have been getting from Deerfoot Meadows Money Mart. Money Mart is said to provide a service to the public. If the service is putting the customers through hell trying to gain access to THEIR MONEY then yes Money Mart has done a good job, but if the service is to provide customers with fast access to their money (as i do believe i read on the website) then this service has not been provided. We have been waiting over a week for our money and bills are now late.

I am being generous with the one star ONLY because the option of no stars is not there. PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT WE WILL NEVER USE MONEY MART AGAIN FOR ANY REASON AND WE WILL INFORM ALL OF OUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY OF THIS HORRIBLE SERIVCE WE HAVE RECEIEVED.

We are STILL are waiting to receive our money. If anyone above Mike at the Deerfoot Meadows location can help us get our money so we can pay our bills and by food it would be greatly appriciated.

P.S.- I will be contacting the papers to inform the city of this HORRIBLE service and the ridiculous things that have been happening.
